HFCO provides specialist information, advice, and support to volunteers running and managing community centres.<\/h3>\n<h3>HFCO is a local federation and member of Community Matters the National Federation for Community Organisations.<\/h3>\n<h2>THESE ARE SOME OF THE WAYS THE HFCO CARRIES OUT THIS WORK\u2026<\/h2>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides a forum for members to consult together on common problems, issues and policies<\/li>\n<li>Supporting and representing smaller community led organisations and community activists<\/li>\n<li>Speaking as a collective voice and lobbying on matters of common interest and concern<\/li>\n<li>Providing relevant training opportunities for example; Running and Managing your Community Building, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, Fire Marshall Training, Community Development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing practical information, support and advice to both new and existing community groups<\/li>\n<li>Promoting and assisting in the development of new community organisations<\/li>\n<li>Encouraging good working relationships between members and other voluntary and statutory organisations<\/li>\n<li>Working in partnership with Hull City Council in promoting and establishing community centres<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HFCO is highly focused on developing the benefits of Hull&#8217;s Community Centres and champions voluntary and community action at neighbourhood level as a means of local people taking control of issues in their area and fostering community spirit.
