The following groups and organisations run activities and services from within the Lonsdale community centre.


Arthurs Organics

Arthur Street Trading Co. Ltd have provided a home delivery service for organic vegetable boxes, organic fruit, organic groceries, and household goods in Hull since 1999. Where ever possible, they source products locally.



Hull & East Yorkshire Branch of the National Autistic Society

Offers help, support advice & information to parents/carers of children on the autistic spectrum.

Saturday Fun Group - Last Saturday of the month, 10.30am-12.30pm

Thursday Play Group - Every Thursday including school holidays 9.30am-11.30am from September 2014


Rhythm Roots

Lindyhop, Charleston and Authentic Jazz Classes once per month on Sundays. Check the website for dates.

From late '20s Hot Jazz to early '40s Big Band Swing, Lindyhop is a dance like no other and is sure to give you that feel good factor!

Giroscope

Giroscope is an award winning housing charity based in the Newington ward of Hull with whom we work in partnership for the ‘Learn2Earn’ project. For over 27 years they have brought sustainable regeneration to our neighbourhood by providing housing, training and employment.


Hull 20/20 Champions

The Hull 2020 Champions is an NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) initiative designed to support community groups, individuals and volunteers to create a healthier Hull. By the year 2020 we aim to have a Champion on every street in Hull, inspiring and empowering their family, friends, neighbours and community to be happy and healthy.

This is the proposed Neighbourhood Plan for the Newington/West Park area which will enable the local community to have more say in the development of the neighbourhood.

Carnegie Heritage Centre

Based in the former Carnegie Library in the Newington ward the Carnegie Heritage Centre is a resource that can be accessed by people with an interest in both Local and Family history. The centre has an amazing wealth of data about Hull's history and people's memories of it.
